PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic mail system in which a sender side can easily and quickly grasp, an opened electronic mail. SOLUTION: A server 10 stores a logout time by each client PC 20 together with its user in a logout information storing part 1222, also acquires the information of the mail opened by the client PC 20 from the client PC 20 and stores the information in a mail management information storing part 1211. When a newly logging-in client PC 20 exists, the login user of the client PC 20 performs transmission, acquires electronic mail opened after the preceding logout time from the part 1211 and transmits an opened mail list to the client PC 20.
