PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method of diagnosing a module base. SOLUTION: In the normal operation, a sensor value 12 from a real engine device is inputted to an engine part quality estimating unit 14 for generating the performance estimation value of main rotary parts. The generated performance estimation value and the nominal quality of an engine are compared with each other to generate the estimated performance difference. The estimated performance difference showing the parts quality is continuously renewed, and inputted to a real time engine model unit 16. The model unit receives the operating condition data, and adjusts the nominal value of the model on the basis of the quality estimation value so that the model value strictly coincides with the real device. Output of the engine model is a temporary parameter 20 such as a stalling margin, a specified fuel consumption, and a fan/compressor/turbine efficiency. A fault detecting/separating and sorting unit 22 combines the temporary parameter with the sensor value of the real engine device, and discriminates the abnormal condition and a specified fault class, and outputs a result 24 of the detection.
