PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for cutting a tape to a standard size which is capable of cutting the tape at a specified length without the occurrence of tape crops and without the variation of the tape. SOLUTION: The tape T delivered from a pancake 1 is attracted to an outer peripheral surface of an intermittent rotating body 10 of a regular prism shape and is transferred to a cutting station S1 by the intermittent rotation of this intermittent rotating body 10. In this cutting station S1, the tape held attracted by this intermittent rotating body 10 is cut to the specified length by a cutter 20 and is transferred to a retransfer position S2. In the retransfer position S2, the tape after cutting is attracted and transferred by a tape transporting head 30.
