PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anemometer capable of accurately and speedily measuring air velocity at any location of measurement. SOLUTION: In this anemometer 200, the air velocity of air flow obtained from a duct 108 through a straightening part 106 is measured at a plurality of locations. The anemometer 200 is comprised of an air velocity detecting means D with a sensor part 1, a drive means 4 to move the sensor part 1 of the air velocity detecting means D, a drive control means D to control the device means 4 for moving the sensor part 1 to a location of air velocity measurement, and an output means F to output an air velocity distribution from a an air velocity signal obtained by the air velocity detecting means D and information on the locations of air velocity measurement obtained by the drive control means D.
