NETWORK SCAN CONTROLLER FOR PUSH MODEL INCLUDING SELECTABLE AREA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To share a scanner on a network for enhancing the value of application resources of an image scanner. SOLUTION: A network scan controller 10 is connected to a network via a computer interface for transmitting the image scan data obtained with an image scanner 12 to a client 16 of the network as a push model. The controller 10 is provided with a computer interface that is connected to a computer interface controller and a user interface. The user interface is provided with an input/output device for instruction and data input and also for message display. The controller 10 also has a scan area selection mechanism that is connected to the computer interface for selecting a document area that is to be scanned.
