PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain Chinese characters that a user intends as a conversuion result by automatically correcting errorneous input such as the typing of a wrong key. SOLUTION: When the Pinyin input of a character string to be converted is done through an input part 101, a correction range determination part 113 determines a range of the input character string which needs to be corrected and a correction pattern generation part 106 corrects the character string within the range to generate a candidate for a corrected character string which is effective as Pinyin. A Chinese character conversion part 109 performs Pinyin Chinese-character conversion by using the candidate and outputs a converted candidate. Consequently, even if errorneous input such as mistyping is done, the conversion candidate that the user intends can be obtained with the corrected character string. |
