PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image with excellent image quality even when part of an object image is segmented after photographing. SOLUTION: In photographing an object, splitting photometry is executed (step 21). A memory card records image data denoting the object image and a result of splitting photometry in accordance with a splitting photometry area (step 27). In the reproduction, the image data are read from the memory card and the object image is displayed. Part of the image is trimmed in the displayed image. Using the splitting photometry value corresponding to the trimmed image corrects the trimmed image so that the lightness of the trimmed image is proper.
