The invention relates to a process and installation for the recovery of the sensitive heat of the condensed water of the industrial steam and to the utilization thereof as raw material employed in heavy water plants that apply the proces based on the isotope exchange in the water-sulphurettled hydrogen system. According to the invention the process of recovering the sensitive heat of the condensed water of the industrial steam comprises first a step for the recovery of the sensitive heat of the condensed water of the industrial steam when steam releases some of its heat to the processing water, a second step where the condensed water is cooled down to the temperature required by the utilization in the process and finally the third step where the condensed water is introduced by injection into the processing water which becomes the raw material employed in producing the heavy water. The installation for the application of the process according to the invention comprises some heat recovering exchangers (9, 10, 11, 12), a condensed water tank (18), some linking circuits, a pump (20) and a condensed water cooler.
