The installation for drying cylindrical or parallelipipedal bales of wet fodder comprises a set of ventilating chambers (A, B, C) which are horizontal and overlapping, and balanced isobarically. The lower ventilation chamber (A) has several blast openings (2, 7) at its upper side and is capable of supporting the weight of the bales (1) that are laid on it directly in front of the blast openings (2, 7). The ventilating chambers (B and C) have several corresponding air blast openings (2, 7) both at their upper sides and at the lower sides and are capable of supporting the bales laid on them directly in front of the upper blast openings (2, 7). The claimed installation is also provided with some means (5) for the reciprocating movement of the ventilation chambers (A, B, C) along the vertical line, both ways.
