PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk recording/reproducing device which can correspond to a disk cartridge having a shutter and can treat not only two types of large and small disk cartridges but also disks which are not stored in a cartridge case. SOLUTION: First and second cartridge installation parts 20 and 21 and first and second disk installation parts 18 and 19, which are placed on the upper face of a disk tray 11, first and second shutter openers 51 and 57 opening the shutter of the first cartridge case in cooperation with the carry-in operation of the disk tray 11 into the case and a recording/reproducing mechanism part 25 recording and reproducing data in a state where the disk is held are arranged.
