A multifunctional cold weather additive for fuels consisting of copolymers of one or more dicarboxylic structures (55-35 mol.%) and one or more olefin structures (45-65 mol.%) which has grafted to it nitrogenous function and/or ester of a specified formula The grafts are of Formula (I) R1, R2 = H, 1-20C alkyl; R3, R6 = H, 1-30C alkyl, when one is H the other is 12-30C alkyl; R4, R5 = H, 1-22C alkyl; n, m = 1-50; X = O<-> H(R'2) - R'1, OR'5; R'1, R'2 = 1-18C alkyl, 1-18C alkylamine, -(CH2)x - N(R'4) - ((CH2)y - NH)z - R3, mono- or polyhydroxylated amine, mono- or polyhydroxylated polyamine; R'3, R'4 = H, 1-22C alkyl; x = 1-6; y, z = 0-6; R'5 = 1-30 alkyl, -(CH2)x - N(R'4) - ((CH2)y - NH)z - R3; 1-44C alkylamine, -(CH2)x - N(R'4) - ((CH2)y - NH)z - R3 (Formula (II)) Independent claims are included for (1) an additive composition comprising the claimed additive and at least one of: filterability or pour point additive, procetane additive, catalytic combustion promoter, detergent, lubrication, anti-wear, anti-foam or anti-corrosion additive, additives or additive composition to improved the trouble point, dispersion and sedimentation of paraffins, (2) a fuel or fuel oil containing as a major part a hydrocarbon base of petrols, middle distillates, synthetic fuel, animal or vegetable oil, whether esterified or not, or mixtures of them and 50-1000 ppm of the claimed additive or composition.
