PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a lighting apparatus capable of irradiating a wide range at once. SOLUTION: In the lighting apparatus for unidirectionally condensing the light emitted from a linear light source 22 by a cylindrical lens to irradiate an object 24, the cylindrical lens is constituted by abutting a plurality of cylindrical lenses 10, of which the end surfaces are polished, on one another on their end surfaces and the angle characteristics of the light emitted from the linear light source 22 is made symmetric left and right with respect to the abutted surface of the cylindrical lenses 10.
