PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the rotor of a motor where vibration and noise produced in the rotor are reduced, the number of parts and man-hours for assembling work are lessened, and productivity is increased. SOLUTION: This rotor 1 is provided at its center with a sleeve 2a that rotatably holds in the center a shaft 3, having a rotating support 3a protruded from the circumference and a rotor core 2, having an axial groove 2b formed for housing the rotating support 3a in the sleeve 2a. A resilient member 4 is bonded to the sidewall of the groove 2b between the rotating support 3a and the sidewall of the groove 2b, and an axial gap is formed between the sidewall of the groove 2b and the resilient member 4, so that the sleeve 2a can be slid to the other end in the axial direction by a prescribed distance in correspondence with the gap. The rotating support 3a on the shaft 3 is brought into contact with the sidewall of the groove 2b in the sleeve 2a of the rotor core 2 via the resilient member 4, so that the rotating support can be slid freely in the axial direction, and thereby the rotation of the rotor core 2 is transmitted to the shaft 3.
