SUSPENSION FOR DISK DRIVE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension for a disk drive reduced in weight. SOLUTION: This suspension 17 has a load beam 30 and a base plate 31. The load beam 30 includes a beam body 30a to which a flexure 32 for supporting a head part 18 is fixed, a base part 30b to which the base plate 31 is fixed and a hinge part 30c which connects the beam body 30a and the base part 30b. The hinge part 30c is formed in part of a planer leaf spring member. The base plate 31 has a toric flange part 61 and a short cylindrical boss part 62. A circular hole 50 of a bore meeting the outside diameter of the base plate 31 is formed in the base part 30b of the load beam 30. The flange part 61 of the base plate 31 is fitted into the hole 50.
