The magnetic key actuated lock has cylindrical rotated coupling components provided with permanent magnets. These magnets have openings on their circumference which engage with the key for lock opening purposes. These rotating coupling components are held so that they are not damaged when attempts are made to force this lock. The rotating axis (24b) of each coupling components (24) is parallel to the lock axis. The stopping pins are arranged in conjunction with the coupling components so that the openings facilitate the axial displacement between the stopping pins and the lock core (22) against the preload of a spring (27). Hence the pins and the lock core are able to slide relative to each other along the lock axis.
