PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image composition method and an image composition device that can generate one composite image from a plurality of temporally consecutive partial images obtained through photographing of an object moving in a prescribed direction and can maintain the continuity of the photographed object and provide the composite image with excellent image quality. SOLUTION: The image composition device is provided with an image positioning means that respectively obtains a phase difference denoting a spatial position offset of respective two adjacent partial images, an image weighting means that respectively gives a weight denoting to which area of a partial image and how much of the partial image is to be reflected on the composite image to each partial image, an image superimposing means that superimposes the weighted partial images with each other to generate a temporary composite image being an image on the way of composition and counts number of accumulated weights by each pixel of the temporarily composite image, and a composite image generating means that divides the luminance of each pixel of the temporarily composited image by each accumulated weight and outputs the composite image with the luminance as the result of the division.
