PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an OA/TOFMS that does not use an electrostatic quadrupole lens as the electrostatic lens in the ion guide portion but rather adopts a plurality of axially symmetric electrostatic lenses together with multipoles. SOLUTION: A positive or negative voltage is applied across an orifice electrode, positioned at the first stage and a slit electrode at the last stage of the axially symmetrical electrostatic lenses in the ion guide portion of the OA/ TOFMS. Also lens electrode voltages are set up, so as to accelerate ions in the first half of the axially symmetrical electrostatic lens group and decelerate ions in the latter half. |
