PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide resin composition for molding barrier ribs, superior in moldability and preservation stability of barrier ribs for plasma display panel, resin composition elements for molding barrier rib superior in moldability, preservation stability and workability, and manufacturing method for barrier ribs that can shorten manufacturing process and mold barrier ribs having superior shape with good workability. SOLUTION: This resin composition for molding barrier ribs contains an organic material having a binder polymer, an organic silicon compound and a compound having carboxyl radical, as well as an inorganic material. On a substrate provided with a resin composition element for molding barrier ribs having that layer on a support film and removable relief pattern, the element is disposed, so that its resin composite layer for molding barrier ribs faces the substrate side. The resin composite element for molding barrier ribs is laminated as a layer on the substrate and embedded in the gap of the relief pattern, and then baked by removing the relief pattern.
