摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolytic capacitor which is low in capacitance and impedance characteristic variations, and a method of manufacturing the capacitor. SOLUTION: The solid electrolytic capacitor is constituted, by using (1) a conductive high polymer obtained by performing chemical oxidative polymerization on a heterocyclic monomer, by using an oxidizing agent solution which is prepared by adjusting the ratio of the quantity of bivalent iron to that of trivalent iron to <=0.02, in weight ratio in a solution obtained by dissolving the ferric salt of fatty and/or aromatic sulfonate acid in an alcoholic solution or (2) a conductive high polymer obtained, by performing chemical oxidative polymerization on the heterocyclic monomer using an oxidizing agent solution which is prepared, by adjusting the ratio of the quantity of the fatty and/or aromatic sulfonate acid to that of the trivalent iron to 3.0-3.5 in molar ratio in the solution as a solid electrolyte. Since the conductive high polymer having high electrical conductivity can be obtained at a high yield through the chemical oxidating polymerization, the capacitance and impedance characteristics of the capacitor do not vary much.
