PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scaffold structure, where the equipment and materials of the scaffold structure inside a furnace for check and repair are easy to assemble and the method of installation thereof. SOLUTION: A scaffold 7, a pulley block 8 and a wire take-up roller 9 are carried into the inside of the furnace through a manhole 6 arranged at the bottom wall part 5 of a countermure, wire 10 from the roller 9 is attached to the edge part of a scaffold 7 via a pulley block 8, the scaffold 7 is temporarily placed in the direction of the width of the furnace, a pulley block suspending wire is dropped from an opening part arranged at a ceiling part 11, the pulley block 8 is hoisted to the ceiling part 11 by the wire, the scaffold 7 is erected by winding the wire 10 from the roller 9, the scaffold 7 is turned to the horizontal position towards the front of a furnace 1 through the gap of a screen pipe 13 feeding the wire 10 by the roller 9, pushed forward toward pendant heat exchangers 19 to 22, and fixed at the cross point between the screen pipe 13 of the scaffold 7 and the pendant heat exchangers 19-21, above described work is repeated in turn and at least two of the scaffolds 7 extended inside the furnace are mutually connected.
