The invention discloses a new polypeptide- Ubiquitin conjugating enzyme 10, the polynucleotide encoding said polypeptide, and a process for producing the polypeptide by recombinant DNA technology. It also discloses methods of applying the polypeptide for the treatment of various diseases, such as malignancy, hemopathy, HIV infection, immune disorders, and inflammations. This invention also discloses antagonist against said polypeptide and thereof therapy uses. In addition, it refers to the use of said polynucleotide encoding this new Ubiquitin conjugating enzyme 10.
