METHOD FOR THE DEMILITARIZATION OF AMMUNITION

The invention relates to a method for defusing and recycling ammunition. According to the invention, a chamber inside the ammunition, which is either used to accommodate an ammunition firing device or to ensure the operation of said device or to displace structural elements of the ammunition at the moment of firing or necessary to the normal operation thereof, is filled with a substance which is able to solidify and to ensure the demilitarization of said ammunition. The substance which is able to solidify is injected into such a chamber in liquid state; injection of the aforementioned substance is accompanied by removal of gases from said chamber. After providing to the chamber with a required quantity of the substance which is able to solidify, the requisite conditions for the solidification thereof are created.
