<p>Granulated products are produced by (a) introducing the product, and at least one granulating agent, into a rotary vessel filled with balls or similar solid bodies, (b) rotating the ball-filled vessel so as to exercise a grinding, mixing and crushing action, in order to improve the homogeneity of the product, and to compress and cause the product to adhere to the internal wall of the rotary vessel, in the form of a layer, (c) scraping the compact layer adhering to the internal wall of the vessel, in order to detach the product in the form of agglomerates, and (d) immediately extracting from the vessel the detached agglomerates or granules by allowing them to fall in a vessel, and allowing the agglomerates to remain for a suitable time before removal from the vessel.</p> |
