The sewage channel is provided with a provisional longitudinal drainage pipe (2). House connections (3) with shut-off valves are connected to the main pipe via connection pipes (6). A main collector drain in a higher shaft is shut by suitable valve units, and is connected to the front end of the provisional drainage pipe. After completion of repair/maintenance works, the system can be removed or left in situ.
