The invention relates to a communication device comprising a housing, a printed circuit board having electrical components mounted thereon supported within the housing for providing one or more communication functions, and a keypad having a plurality of keys for enabling a user to enter information into the device and corresponding electrical conductors coupled to the printed circuit board, wherein the wall of the housing provides a substrate for the keys and the electrical conductors. The invention has particular, but not exclusive, relevance to mobile cellular telephones.
