<p>A Bulk Mail Container (BMC) unloader uses a crossed four bar-linkage (22-25, 28, 29) to move a predetermined center point (31) of an unloading bin (27) of the BMC unloader system in a substantially straight line while the unloading bin (27) rotates about that predetermined point so as to upend a BMC container (1) housed within the unloading bin (27). In use, a BMC container (1) is rolled into the unloading bin (27) of the BMC unloader system, and the entire combination of the BMC container (1) and BMC unloader system is then actuated to produce substantially straight line motion along a suitably selected 'center' point (31) of the unloading bin (27) while the overall combination rotates about the center point (31) so as to upend the BMC container (1) for unloading.</p> |
