To provide a space-saving arrangement for the electric switch with its lock-out accessory, the actuating element (8) is designed in the form of a slide/slide-valve with a movable cam element and a shoulder or lug is provided on the actuating mechanism (6) and the cam element is located, in the first position of the actuating element (8), within the path of movement of the shoulder or lug and in the second position - outside the path of movement of the shoulder or lug.
