A portable potty apparatus (10) comprises a base unit (12') which includes a top base surface (14) and a bottom base surface (16). A seat unit (18) is hingedly connected to the top base surface (14). A plurality of folding legs (15, 17) are connected to the bottom base surface (16). The top base surface includes a bag ring reception groove (28) for receiving the top portion of a bag holder (25). A disposable bag (27) for collecting human waste is adapted to be supported in the bag holder (25). Top (19) and bottom (21) covers are also provided for carrying the portable potty.
