Multilayer photographic element has a reflecting substrate, 3 consecutive color copying units (1, 2, 3) with light-sensitive layer(s) and (1, 3) one and (2) >= 2 light-insensitive, dye-forming intermediate layers, optional ultraviolet filter layer and top layer. Each gives a characteristic dye curve with maximum gradient 2.0-5.0 and specified maximum and minimum density and log exposure range. Multilayer photographic element has a reflecting substrate, 3 consecutive color copying units (1, 2, 3) with light-sensitive layer(s) and (1, 3) one and (2) >= 2 light-insensitive, dye-forming intermediate layers, optional intermediate layer containing ultraviolet dye and top layer.
