The invention relates to a reinforcing material, a method for the production thereof and utilization thereof. Natural fibers pertaining to a reinforcing material are produced in such a way that, when under strain, said fibers have an elasticity corresponding to that of the pure, stretched natural fiber and good binding in an encasing work material is made possible. A method for production and utilization according to the invention is disclosed. The stretched natural fibers which are arranged essentially in parallel are laminated to each other by a melt plastic and moulded to produce a shape. Said natural fibers are either partially or completely enclosed by the plastic. The thread consists of uniform or non-uniform natural fibers. The plastic is preferably a thermoplastic plastic. Said natural fibers are preferably pretreated, arranged in a parallel manner and stretched, mixed together with a plastic and melted. The plastic added is preferably embodied as fibers. Said reinforcing material is placed in an encasing work material and bonded together therewith to produce a composite work material. |
