TRANSMITTER AND TRIBUTARY INTERFACE BOARD

Multiplexing/separating units (14, 15, 19) are provided to each of STM-4 boards (B1, B2), STM-16 boards (C1 to C3), and STM-64 boards (D1 to D3) so as to separate an STM-4 signal, an STM-16 signal, and an STM-64 signal transmitted through tributary transmission lines (LL) to STM-1 signals. The transmission rates of all the transmission interfaces from the board to time slot exchange units (2-0, 2-1) are unified to the basic transmission rate STM-1 in the SDH.
