The invention discloses a novel polypeptide, glycoprotein hormone 11, the polynucleotide encoding such polypeptide, and the method of producing the polypeptide by DNA recombinant techniques. Methods of using the polypeptide in treating diseases, such as malignant tumors, blood diseases, HIV infection and immune disorders, and inflammations and the like are also disclosed. Furthermore, the invention discloses the antagonist of the polypeptide and the effects thereof. The use of the polynucleotide encoding the novel glycoprotein hormone 11 is also disclosed.
