The method involves acquiring and compressing a crop and feeding it to an accepting shaft, spraying the strand of crop material with a liquid siloing material from a tank via a pump, filter and nozzle, detecting an evaluation parameter before or after the nozzle, measuring the volumetric flow and feeding it into an evaluation/regulating/control unit that derives a pump control parameter and responds to the starting and stopping of crop flow. Independent claims are also included for the following: an arrangement for introducing siloing material into flows of crops.
