A system for safely trading an "incorporeal object" such as know-how or an idea over a network. A collector who wants to collect ideas transmits the requirements of the ideas to be collected to a management server (10). The management server (10) posts the transmitted requirements on an electronic bulletin board. The requirements include information specifying the applicants. Since the applicants can trade only by their real names, unauthorized deeds can be effectively prevented. After an applicant reads the electronic bulletin board, the applicant sends the contents of the idea of the applicant to the management server (10). When an idea is applied, the management server (10) notifies the collector of the contents of the idea. Since information specifying the idea applicant is included in the contents of idea application, the real name of the applicant is disclosed in the contents, thereby requiring prudence in applying an idea.
