The invention relates to a method for triggering computer program functions in order to process sound sequences such as music, dictations and the like, wherein functions which can be triggered by keys (1, 2, 3a, 3b, 4, 5) are graphically displayed on a screen as switching surfaces (S1, S2, S3a, S3aa, S3b, S3bb), and the function triggered as a result of actuation of one of the keys (1, 2, 3a, 3b, 4, 5) is displayed by modifying the appropriate switching surface (S1, S2, S3a, S3aa, S3b, S3bb). In order to simplify operation of said functions, the invention provides that a first set of functions is allocated to a first functional level (F1) and a second set of functions is allocated to a second functional level (F2), so that the switching surfaces (S1, S2, S3a, S3aa, S3b, S3bb) allocated to each functional level (F1, F2) are graphically displayed next to each other and the functional levels (F1, F2) are graphically displayed on top of each other, and the second set of functions is activated by actuating a first key (1) and the second set of functions is deactivated by actuating a second key, and the first set of functions is activated. |
