PURPOSE: An apparatus for sensing the oil level is provided to pivotally move a pointer of an oil indicator by assembling the oil indicator with a wire connected to a floater which moves up-and-down along with the oil surface, so that oil remains can be identified with user's eyes. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for sensing the oil level is composed of a magnetic(32) closing/releasing a plunger(34) with the magnetism and an oil indicating unit(60) in which the pointer(62) is instated, and the plunger. The magnetism is generated/stopped by whether an engine is starting or not. The plunger is connected to the float(14) by a first wire and interlocked with the float by whether the plunger is close/released. The pointer rotates to the rotation pin according to the height of the float.
