A device and method for inserting implants is disclosed. The device includes a base (1002), a screen (1005) fixed to the base (1002), a guide (1003) extending downwardly from the base (1002) and having a guide passage, a depressor movable with respect to the guide (1003) and the base (1002), and a spike (1004) extending downwardly from the depressor. The spike (1004) is movable to a position where it is electrically coupled to the screen (1005), movable to a position where the spike (1004) and the guide (1003) cooperate to dilate a cavity in the tissue, and movable to engage the implant and push it through the guide (1003) and into the cavity. A device and method for inserting a tissue anchor implant is also disclosed. The tissue anchor implant (1110) includes a screw (1130), a planar portion (1121), and at least one prong (1122) extending longitudinally from the planar portion. The implant (1110) is inserted into a cavity in the tissue, and rotated to screw the implant (1110) into the bone.
