UV-reflective interference layer system comprises four individual layers having different refractive indices and containing UV- and temperature-stable inorganic materials. Independent claims are also included for: (i) UV-reflective heat protective glass comprising a transparent substrate with a heat reflective coating made of the layer system on one side; and (ii) a process for coating a substrate with a UV-reflective interference layer system comprising applying the individual layers using an immersion or centrifugal process in a sol-gel technique.
