NOVEL GENE AND USE THEREOF

摘要

A protein and DNA encoding the same which are useful as preventives and remedies for diseases such as hypoglycemia. This protein is also useful as a reagent for screening a compound which inhibits the binding of this protein to IRAP (insulin responsive aminopeptidase) or GLUT4 (glucose transporter 4). The compound inhibiting the binding of this protein to IRAP or GLUT4 is useful as a preventive and a remedy for diseases such as hyperglycemia and diabetes.
