Actuating devices for door locks can move the door lever which operates in conjunction with a locking bolt(1), by means of a drive motor either into a position for opening the door or into the locking position to prevent opening of the door, thus only two positions can be detected by the actuating device. To extend the range of movement of the actuating device (3) which can be detected a rotary position detector (20) is coupled to the locking lever (4), and specifically the rotary position detector used is a rotary potentiometer.
