Insecticidal phosphoric ester compositions stabilised against humidity. M5-. Contain as stabilizer a basic dye-stuff especially 1-(1-phenyl azo-4-naphthylazo) -N-4-ethylamino naphthalene, 1-(4-phenylazo phenylazo)-N-ethylamino-2-naphthalene (I) 6-(1-phenylazo-4-naphthylazo)-2,3-dihydro-2,2-dimethyl-pyrimidine (II) whish is soluble in one of the constituents such as a solvent for (e.g. aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons) or a diluent of (e.g. aliphatic alcohols and diacids esp. phthalic, sebacic and adipic acids) the phosphoric ester. Suitable phosphoric esters are O-(2,2-dichlorovinyl) and O,O-dimethyl phosphoric esters. The stabiliser is present in 0.1-5 weight % pref. 0.3-2 weight % based on the phosphoric ester. Other stabilisers such as epoxy compounds, especially alcohol epoxystearates and epoxy soya oil, may be present. The composition may be applied as a solid or liquid but is preferably supported on a porous or fibrous material e.g. cotton, wool, suitable for the dispersion of the insecticide as a vapour.
