The invention relates to a method for producing hydroxyl apatite coated ceramics components. In a first step of the inventive method the ceramic component is provided with a Ti coating and in a second step a hydroxyl apatite is applied to the Ti coating. The invention further relates to hydroxyl apatite coated ceramic components produced according to the inventive method.
