<p>A method for pretreating raw water (1) comprising a combination of steps, i.e., in the following order, a raw water pumping step (12), a suspended material separation step (14), a fine filtration step (20) and a thorough disinfection step (30) using a chlorinated compound. The excess residual active chlorine is reduced during the thorough disinfection step by AC electrolysis of iron particles such as shavings or shot. Said pretreatment method may be implemented upstream from membrane separation means (40) in order to produce drinking water. The membrane separation means (40) provide ultrafiltration, nanofiltration or reverse osmosis, depending on the kind of water to be treated.</p> |
