A heating or cooling unit for a vehicle comprises a casing 1 having a fresh air inlet duct and a recirculation air inlet duct controlled by a movable cover 7, a heating system with a heat exchanger, a cooling system with an evaporator and a condenser, and a centrifugal fan having two rotors 2, 3 driven by a common motor 4. The cover 7 is a flexible plastics belt or tightly closing link belt, and is operated by a Bowden cable 8 which is controlled manually or by a motor, or by an electric, hydraulic or pneumatic servomotor. The heating and cooling systems may be constructed as separate units supplied with air by a common blower. |
