Calixcrown derivatives for immobilizing proteins

The present invention is to provide calixcrown derivatives for the preparation of a self-assembled monolayer as well as a process for the preparation thereof. Further the present invention is to provide a self-assembled monolayer which is produced by immersing a gold substrate or related metal substrate in an organic solution containing said calixcrown derivatives. Still further the present invention provides a process for fixing a protein monolayer by fixing proteins having molecular weight of not less than 20,000D (20KD) on said self-assembled monolayer.
