摘要

Ignition device for electric arc welding has a permanent electrode under protective gas with an auxiliary electrode introduced into the interior of the jet, and both connect conventionally to a common electricity source. A resistance is placed before the auxiliary electrode which is so adapted to the distances from auxiliary electrode to main electrode and main electrode to workpiece that after lighting the main arc the current of the auxiliary arc is less than that required to keep it intact.
