<p>The coupling between the lifter shaft carrying the knife and the press plunger engages plunger and shaft at two points simultaneously which are equally or symmetrically placed round the shaft. The coupling consists of levers which pivot round vertical axes spaced from the shaft and which spring home into recesses on this shaft for coupling purposes. A common trip lever pivoted on the shaft disengages all levers together.</p> |
