<p>A method and apparatus for responding to a fire emergency at a facility by analyzing possible responses to a fire threat conditions to determine possible responses to a fire emergency and selecting a response to the fire emergency for minimizing human casualties within the facility. The present invention may be characterized by one embodiment as a method for generating (128) an automated response to an emergency that includes the steps of (a) receiving as input (122) fire threat condition data for a facility; (b) analyzing (110, 124, 126) the fire threat condition data to determine a matrix of possible responses (116) to a fire emergency; and (c) selecting a response (130, 134) from the matrix of possible responses to minimizing human casualties.</p> |
