SUBSTANCE: proposed brake beam has channel bar, brake beam king post with through hole and unit for transmitting force to brake shoe and car wheel made in form of fixed holder. Brake beam king post is provided with through hole designed for fitting-in shaft for hinge-coupling of brake beam king post with vertical lever of brake rigging. Hole is arranged on middle part of brake beam king post higher than cross axis of symmetry of channel bar and cross stay of brake king post. Brake beam king post is made in form of many-sided plate or rod, upper part of brake beam king post being developed upwards above channel bar of brake beam king post and cross stay. Invention provides reduction of angle of tilting of vertical lever from perpendicular dropped to connecting tie-rods or braces and brake beam king post with brake applied position owing to increased length of lower arm of vertical lever and increased total length of vertical lever.
