LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lubricating oil composition with high abrasion resistance and long service life, capable of easy designing and improving reliability of e.g. sintered and oil-contg. bearings used in spindle motors and the like. SOLUTION: This lubricating oil composition is obtained by incorporating a base oil with 0.01-10 wt.% of aluminum oxide 10 nm to 1μm in median particle size. This lubricating oil composition may also be formulated with such additive(s) as antioxidant, antirust agent, metal deactivator and/or dispersant, being further improved in physical properties such as low evaporability as well. This lubricating oil composition is suitable for the bearings of spindle motors equipped with sliding bearings.
